The Anima Experience

A monthly live session for embodied practice, nervous system awareness, and real connection.

July Session:

Finding the Still Point: Meditation for People Who Can’t Meditate A live, 90-minute experience designed for the skeptics, the stressed, the beginners, and the busy minds.

For the skeptics, the stressed, the beginners, & the busy minds:

If you’ve ever tried to meditate,  found your mind louder than ever, and decided it wasn’t for you…

This is designed for you.

You’re not “bad at meditation”.
You just haven’t experienced the meditation doorway that’s right for you.
There’s more than one way in.
In this live experience, you’ll find the doorway your nervous system can actually use.

For years, I was convinced I couldn’t meditate.

I was taught that meditation looked like sitting still, watching everything, and being quiet.  I wanted the stillness, peace, and clarity that I’d heard meditation could bring,  but when I tried…
…my mind went wild,  my body got restless, and I figured I just wasn’t built for meditation.
But actually, that doorway of meditation just wasn’t built for me.
It didn’t even occur to me that there was more than one way…
But it turns out there are many doorways to meditation! I just hadn’t found the one that fit with my unique nervous system…

Until someone guided me in through the body - and this changed everything.

Forget the blank, empty mind!

Nobody has one… and chasing it is the fastest way to feel like you’re failing.

Meditation isn’t clearing your thoughts. It’s finding the “still point”... the quiet underneath the noise.

In this session, we’ll practice this together through several different doors, so you can actually FEEL what it’s like to experience this for yourself.
*Sessions are held on Zoom
**A recording will be available to all registrants until the following session.

The Anima Experience is a monthly gathering. Each session stands on its own - you can join at any point and get full value from wherever you are.

In this session, you will…

  • What meditation actually is — and the myths that make most people quit before it ever works.
  • Why stillness is genuinely hard — an activated nervous system often can’t just “get quiet,” and forcing it backfires. Learn what to do instead.
  • The doorway that fits your system — because no two nervous systems settle the same way, you’ll identify the one that works for yours.
  • The quiet underneath the busy mind — accessed directly, perhaps for the first time.
  • The gap between trigger and reaction — catch patterns while they’re running, and choose your response instead of watching it happen after the fact.
  • Releasing the pull of worry and self-criticism — not by fighting the mind, but by letting awareness loosen its grip.
  • The peace of simply noticing — thoughts, sounds, sensations, all here, without being pulled away by any of it.
  • Six doorways to your Still Point, experienced live — observation, concentration, sound, the body, movement, and the everyday flow states you’ve already touched.

There is a meditation doorway for your unique system… and we’ll uncover it together.

Hear from our last group session:

This is for you if.....

  • You’ve tried meditation and concluded you’re “bad at it,” as if it were a talent you missed out on.
  • Your mind is busy, racing, and doesn’t have an off switch
  • You’ve heard the “meditation people” describe a peace you’ve never touched — and quietly wonder if it actually exists
  • You live mostly in your head, and the body feels like somewhere you visit, not somewhere you live
  • Sitting still feels restless, boring, or strangely exposed.
  • You’ve started to believe a quiet mind just isn’t possible for you.
  • You want more room between what happens and how you react — more awareness in your thoughts, more calm in your body.
  • You want more room between what happens and how you react — more awareness in your thoughts, more calm in your body.
  • You’ve done years of mindset work, and you’re ready for something you can actually feel

If your nervous system is activated or stressed, stillness practices have probably felt frustrating, maybe even impossible.

That's not a personal failure, and it makes sense.  You're welcome here.

Let's try something different.

There is no substitute for being guided into the body in real time.

Come experience the doorways in real time… and finally access the quiet beneath the noise.

Join us on July 29th at 1pm EDT

Common questions?

Do I need any experience?

None at all. This was built for beginners and skeptics — skeptics might even have the advantage.

Then you’re exactly who this is for. Restlessness isn’t a disqualification; it’s information about your nervous system. And one of the doorways is movement-based, for precisely this reason.

That’s the whole premise of the session. You didn’t fail — you were most likely handed a door that doesn’t fit your system. There are others.

No. This is grounded, practical, and demystified — meditation as a way of working with your mind and nervous system, taught in plain language. Nothing to believe in, everything to feel for yourself.

A live 90-minute session, the recording, a handout, and a simple daily practice to take home.

Register anyway. The recording and all the materials come to you either way — though if you can be there live, the room itself is part of the practice.

“ Michael created a feeling of safety

and trust for such a vulnerable process..He intuitively sensed what I was feeling and guided me gently. It feels like this is his calling and purpose.”
— Sarah Russell

“ My session with Michael came during a particularly stressful time

of transition and to be able to dive into my body and release tension and stored energy was amazing. Warm, comforting, and very professional.”
— Kate

“ The session was very healing in many ways.

Physically and emotionally. I learned and began to understand where some of my habits and reactions and responses stem from. This was really powerful for me.”
— DAWN

Hi I’m Michael

I created the Anima Experience because I’ve seen how much changes when people practice this work together — rather than just reading about it or doing it alone. Co-regulation, shared presence, and genuine connection aren’t incidental to this work. They’re part of how it works.

I’ve been facilitating this kind of work in trainings, workshops, and retreats for years — but this is the first time I’m bringing it to this community. That means something to me.

I hold these sessions personally, with the same principles that guide everything at Anima: safety, pacing, consent, and respect for individual experience.

This month's session is on July 29th.

Registration closes at session time.

*Can’t make it live? Register anyway recording access is included.
